Update 1.1 released!

Yep, that's right, I'm actually updating this game. It's not a huge update (not much in the way of new content), but I'll list the patch notes here:

1. Added new animations for Maya, including a new landing and bouncing animation for when she's fat, and a turning animation for when she's inflated
2. Added new dialogue for encountering Max in the second level while inflated
3. Added a special sound effect for collecting the last coin in a level
4. Added a right click symbol that shows up when Maya can interact with something
5. Added wide-screen options for the executable version of the game as well as a full screen option
6. Increased the top speed for text scroll during dialogue
7. Fixed a bug where Maya would get stuck on the wrong side of the portal
8. Added debug mode

Also while I'm here I figured I should say, thank you everyone for all the support and encouragement on this game! I know I haven't responded to any comments, but I've definitely seen them all and appreciate every one of them. As for more updates beyond this one (and why this one has taken so long), I wanted to get into that. Part of the reason this update took a while is because it wasn't actually my main focus for the game right now. My main goal was actually revamping a few of the games underlying systems, and so I've been hacking away at that instead. I'm hoping that by the end of it all, it'll make it much easier to create new content for the game (and especially new levels), so I've been holding off on creating more levels until that's done. I did want to release this update though to address a few issues that were in this demo, as well as just polish things up in general.

Assuming there aren't any massive glaring bugs in this patch that I missed, this will be the last update to this version of the game. And assuming all goes well, the next version will be completely overhauled with entirely new levels, mechanics and progression (and hopefully by then a proper name), but of course with the same gameplay as this one. When that'll be ready I have no idea, but in the meantime I hope you all have fun with this patch! Thanks for reading!

I'm excited about this! The concept of inflation-based platforming has always been a fav of mine. Best of luck with this project, and take all the time you need!

Looking forward to seeing more of this game in the future! There's never been enough inflation games out there and so far, I'm loving the looks of this one. Plus it's always a treat to see more of your sprite art.
